HEXIES ARE FUN!

I can so see the appeal of hexagon quilts! They are so easy to sew at night and you can see the progress you make quite quickly.

All of these hexagons have been made from one layer cake of fabric. It looks like there will only be enough for another couple of rows.

HUNT FOR BORDER FABRIC

I'm so happy to finally have these blocks put together.
I now have to hunt around for some border fabric to finish it off.

This quilt is of course, Rosalie Quinlan's It's a Redwork Christmas Quilt.

ANOTHER UFO

The next quilt that I am working on getting finished is Pebbly Beach (by Wendy Williams).

This quilt was a lot of fun to make and I really enjoyed the class with Wendy in Toowoomba a couple of years ago. She is such a friendly and encouraging teacher and everyone had a great couple of days.

I'm up to hand appliquing the dots on now so that I can sew it all together and then finish the borders.

NIGHT TIME SEWING

Everyone needs a nice easy stitching project to work on at night while watching tv/movies don't they?

ADDING SOME BORDERS

Getting ready to add the borders to my yo yo quilt. This quilt is my variation of one of Kim Deihl's designs from the book Simple Graces.

I really enjoyed making this quilt and can't wait to get it finished.

HAND QUILTING TOO!

I have kept a couple of quilts for hand quilting too!

I'm already part way through hand quilting the quilt that is the featured background of this blog.
As well as this small quilt that I will hand quilt.
